Itinerary & Rates

Day 1: Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative and to your hotel where you will receive a quick briefing about the journey ahead.
Overnight at the Norfolk Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2:  Amboseli National Park
Fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Tortilis airstrip in Amboseli National Park. You are met by a camp representative. Tortilis Tented Camp, enjoys soaring views of the legendary snows of Kilimanjaro and has its own waterhole, which attracts large amounts of animals, particularly elephant. After lunch enjoy your first safari game drive in Amboseli with the chance of spotting plentiful plains game against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.Return to your camp afterward for dinner.

Day 3: Amboseli
Perhaps take an early morning Maasai-guided nature walk before or after breakfast. Alternatively take a morning game-drive in the park, which offers a wide diversity of game.  After lunch (which can be taken as a picnic lunch on safari should you prefer), take another game-drive or a guided nature walk – or both – all are inclusive. Alternatively, visit an authentic Maasai village with displays of dance, song and cultural pursuits. Sundowners, which can be taken on safari or in the camp’s Rondavel Bar, are followed by dinner.

Day 4:  Mt Meru National Park
Rise early for a game drive, before returning to the lodge. Afterwards, fly from Amboseli to Mt Meru National Park, where you will be met by your driver and safari vehicle. Located around the Mt Kenya region, take a brief game drive to get to Elsa’s Kopje Camp where you will have lunch. Unashamedly romantic and beautifully styled, Elsa’s Kopje is sculpted into Mughwango Hill, above the site of George Adamson’s original camp where he raised and released orphan lions. Each cottage is crafted around the rocks, with a large bedroom, open sitting room, veranda and spacious bathroom, each with breathtaking views. After lunch you will be offered the choice of a massage for pure relaxation or an afternoon game drive. Overnight at Elsa’s Kopje Camp on full board basis.

Day 5:  Mt Meru National Park
Your best chance of spotting game is early in the morning or late in the afternoon, so rise early and head off into the wilderness. After a morning filled with excitment, return to the lodge to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.In the afternoon, explore Mt Meru National Park on a game drive with sundowner drinks served  overlooking the park.

Day 6: Masai Mara
Enjoy a brisk nature walk and enjoy the views from up the hills which form the kopje (small rocky outcrop). The rest of the morning is at leisure and lunch will be served overlooking Mt Meru. Your SkySafari pilot will be waiting to take you on a 90 mns flight to the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve where you will be met by your camp representative, who will take you to Sand River Mara Camp, game viewing en route. After settling in, dinner will be served at the camp.

Day 7: Masai Mara
Early breakfast is followed by a game drive. Historically teaming with wildlife, the Mara is famous for its abundance of herbivores, the Mara makes the ideal hunting ground for Kenya’s famous ‘big cats’ and hosts her largest population of lions. A picnic lunch will be served in the wild. Stop at an authentic Maasai village to learn about the customs and culture of this colorful tribe.

Day 8: Nairobi – Departure
Enjoy a bush breakfast this morning followed by a game drive. Return to camp for lunch. In the mid afternoon, you will be transferred to Keekorok airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. A representative will meet you on arrival and you will be chauffeured to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time to catch your homebound flight.
