Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for where you will receive a quick briefing about the journey ahead. Overnight at the Boma Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Breakfast at your hotel. Thereafter, you will drive to the famous Amboseli National Park and check-in to Ol Tukai Lodge. Built in 1996 and one of Amboseli’s best-known lodges, Ol Tukai Lodge lies at the very center of the park. Close to the main swamp area, it enjoys stunning views of Africa’s highest mountain and the legendary ‘Snows of Kilimanjaro’. In the afternoon, take a game drive around this panoramic yet compact park, which is dotted with emerald green swamps in which great herds of elephant wallow half-submerged in the papyrus grasses. These permanent marshlands also provide a potent draw to hippos and buffaloes, while offering a haven for the abundant water birds. In the evening, enjoy sundowners in one of the lodge’s two bars, explore the wildlife library, or take a swim in the pool. After dinner in the atmospheric central dining room, enjoy a display of traditional Maasai dance or a wildlife talk (optional). Overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge on full board basis.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Spend the day wildlife viewing, whiling away the hot hours of the day at your lodge. Amboseli lays immediately North West of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. Amboseli was established as a reserve in 1968 and established ed as a National Park in 1974. The Park covers 392 km2, and forms part of the much larger 3,000 Km2 Amboseli ecosystem. Overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge on full board basis.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha
Today, drive to Amboseli leaving after breakfast to reach Lake Naivasha in time for lunch. Afterwards, enjoy a boat ride on the lake or relax by the pool. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge on Full Board Basis.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru
Leave after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Visit the world famous bird sanctuary of Lake Nakuru National Park, a park also renowned for its conservation effort toward the black rhino and the thousands of flamingos which flock to the lake. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge on full board basis.
Days 6 & 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve
On Day 6, the safari continues across the Great Rift Valley to reach Kenya’s most famous Game Reserve, Masai Mara, in time for lunch. Spend the days wildlife viewing for a chance to spot black-maned lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, and buffalo along with varied species of hoofed animals. Overnights at Mara Sopa Lodge on full board basis.
Day 8: Nairobi-Departure
After breakfast return to Nairobi. Lunch is served at the famous Carnivore Restaurant where all kinds of game meat – roasted on great spits right in front of you – can be enjoyed. The restaurant also caters to vegetarians with a vast array of delectable dishes and salads Transfer to the airport afterwards to catch your outbound flight. In the event of a late evening flight, an optional day room can be reserved for you to relax and freshen up before you transfer to the airport.
