Itinerary & Rates
Day 1: Johannesburg
Arrive at Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport where you are met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for overnight. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the Southern Sun ORTIA on bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2 : Moremi Game Reserve
This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Maun. Upon arrival, you are met by our representative and helped aboard your light aircraft flight to Moremi Game reserve. Moremi is the only wildlife reserve in the Okavango Delta and is widely regarded as one of Botswana’s most beautiful wilderness areas. Resident species include lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, wild dog, zebra, red lechwe and many more. Overnight at Camp Moremi on full board basis.
Day 3 & 4: Moremi Game Reserve
Spend 2 full days on morning and afternoon game drives in the reserve. You can be certain to return home with some absolutely stunning pictures and memories. Moremi Game Reserve’s incredible wetlands support a vast number of antelope, including Impala, Kudu and Waterbuck. The majestic Fish Eagle and vivid Malachite Kingfisher are frequently seen and even the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl makes an occasional appearance. Overnights at Camp Moremi on full board basis.
Day 5: Okavango Delta
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight into the heart of the Okavango Delta. A maze of lagoons, channels and islands, the Okavango Delta lies at the heart of the Kalahari Desert. Elegant red lechwe and shy sitatunga are found in this watery wilderness. Lion, leopard, cheetah and African wild dog share the floodplains with herds of elephant and buffalo. Enjoy an afternoon game drive after settling in and lunch. Overnight at Camp Okavango or Camp Xakanaxa on full board basis.
Day 6: Okavango Delta
Enjoy two game viewing activities today, perhaps on a mekoro ride or a walking safari. The Okavango Delta – a tranquil and isolated oasis set in the harsh and arid surroundings of Botswana’s bush and desert – is widely regarded as one of Africa’s best safari destinations, with its rich diversity of fauna and flora. The delta is one of the largest and most important inland wetlands of the world, with 2500 species of plants, 65 fish species, 20 large herbivores and their attendant predators, and more than 450 species of birds. Overnights at Camp Okavango or Camp Xakanaxa on full board basis.
Day 7: Chobe National Park
This morning after breakfast you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Kasane. You are met upon arrival and transferred by road (30 mns) to Chobe National Park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park after lunch. Overnight at Chobe Game Lodge on full board basis.
Day 8: Chobe National Park
Enjoy two game drives in Chobe. The Park is the second largest in Botswana and is known for its superb game viewing all year round, as it has one of the largest populations of game on the African continent. Chobe National Park is also home to huge herds of Elephant, Buffalo, and Zebra. There are high densities of predators such as Lion, Leopard, Spotted Hyena and Cheetah. The park also hosts more unusual antelope species such as Roan and Sable, Puku, Tsessebe, Eland, Red Lechwe, Waterbuck, and the rare Chobe Bushbuck. The better-known species such as Giraffe, Kudu, Warthog, Wildebeest and Impala also abound in the park. Overnight at Chobe Game Lodge on full board basis.
Day 9: Kasane – Departure
Today after breakfast you will be transferred to Kasane airport in time to catch your flight back to Johannesburg (not included) and onward flight home.
